Albany County Stockgrowers Wyoming
ACSG promotes agriculture in Albany County through media campaigns and educational programs like Wyoming Ag in the Classroom and Today’s Ag dinner as well as supporting local youth through our Supreme Cow Program, awards at County Fair and an annual scholarship. Our local group also works with the Wyoming Stockgrowers organization to advocate for producers and Wyoming’s agricultural interests on a national and global scale.

Nov. 1 Annual Meeting
We hope your calves are staying healthy and that your fall work is going smoothly.
Besides the usual activities, Albany County Stockgrowers was asked to comment on the Albany County Natural Resource Management Plan and the Laramie Area Growth Plan. The Laramie Area Growth Plan is still open for comment and your input would be appreciated. You can learn more about the plan at https://cityoflaramie.org/1215/Laramie-Area-Growth-Plan. We were also approached by Bailey Koch from the Laramie Reporter about possible member interviews for an article. Bailey will be at our annual meeting and will provide a brief summary of what she would like to interview members about. This is voluntary but your participation is greatly appreciated by her. We are pleased to have Pedro Marques, the Executive Director for the Big Hole Watershed Committee, as our guest speaker for our annual meeting on Tuesday, November 1st. Laramie Area Growth Plan Sep. 28 @ 5:30PM
You are invited to the Laramie Area Growth Plan open house!
When: Wednesday, September 28th, from 5:30-7:30 pm
Where: Recreation Center @ 920 Boulder Dr
What: Albany County and the City of Laramie are hosting an open house to present the preliminary concepts in the Laramie Area Growth Plan and get community input on the future land use map, future land use classifications, joint development standards and application procedures.

Public Comment Natural Resource Plan
Albany County Natural Resource Management Plan draft that was released for public comment today. The public comment will run for 30-days from Monday May 16, 2022 through Wednesday June 15, 2022.

Albany County and the City of Laramie are collaborating on the Laramie Area Growth Plan for the unincorporated County area surrounding the City. This effort will result in growth policies and a land use plan that will allow us to respond to development pressures in a more proactive manner that results in better service provision, greater predictability for property owners, and a higher quality of life for the community.
