- Agricultural landowners are urged to submit comments to the Wildlife Task Force as well as attending one of the upcoming Task Force Meetings or Listening Sessions. The Task force has been charged with developing recommendations regarding the allocation of hunting licenses, changes to the landowner license program and hunting/fishing access. These are very emotional issues that have a long controversial history. Members of the Task Force need to hear from landowners across the state emphasizing the habitat that we provide for wildlife, the impacts, both positive and negative, that the wildlife and hunting have on our operations, and needed changes to the landowner license program. On-line comments can be submitted at Wyoming Wildlife Taskforce - Public Input (google.com). The next meeting is scheduled for November 18 in Casper.
ACSG promotes agriculture in Albany County through media campaigns and educational programs like Wyoming Ag in the Classroom and Today’s Ag dinner as well as supporting local youth through our Supreme Cow Program, awards at County Fair and an annual scholarship. Our local group also works with the Wyoming Stockgrowers organization to advocate for producers and Wyoming’s agricultural interests on a national and global scale.
